The area combines the spacious green space of Meiti Riverside Park with the characteristic playground equipment that can blend into the natural environment for children to demonstrate the play creativity based on the challenging terrains in a safe setting. Characteristic playground equipment is selected to combine with the elements in nature: hills, trees, and water. The safety of the playground pavement is enhanced to increase thickness and elasticity. A cleaning area is installed near the sandbox for children and parents to clean themselves after playing on the sand. As far as accessibility is concerned, the floor is designed for use by wheelchairs, and water taps are installed at different heights to facilitate the use by visitors of all age groups and children using wheelchairs. Additionally, many more considerate facilities, such as leisure benches, landscape toilets, and awnings are built for children and parents to feel more comfortable and convenient when playing in the playground.
The whole project was completed on December 27, 2021 and opened to the public in mid-July 2022.
