Bailing Left Bank Riverside Park, located on the left bank of the Keelung River in Shilin District, Taipei, offers a variety of sports facilities, including basketball courts, softball fields, and tennis courts, making it a popular destination for leisure and exercise. To further revitalize underutilized areas of the riverside park, the Hydraulic Engineering Office has transformed the space into a crab-themed children’s playground. The design incorporates the park's natural terrain, featuring seating areas, water play facilities, and climbing structures, creating a fun and interactive environment for parents and children to enjoy together. The playground includes climbing equipment specifically designed to help children develop gross motor skills and improve balance and stability. Additionally, a shallow pool and interactive water play equipment have been installed, providing an engaging space for both kids and adults to enjoy water activities. The water play area operates seasonally, in alignment with the opening hours of the Dajia Riverside Park water play zone. From June to September, the water features are open during scheduled time slots on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
