Shezi Island is situated at the confluence of the Keelung River and Tamsui River. It is characterized by a sandy terrain. The island features lots of rice paddies and vegetable gardens, showcasing the picturesque and rustic beauty of the rural farming community.
The island has established a bicycle path along the embankment, attracting many avid cyclists. At the southern tip of Shezi Island, one can marvel at the majestic confluence of the Keelung River and Tamsui River, creating tumultuous and surging waves. As the sun sets in the west, the golden hues of the descending sun sprinkle across the river’s surface, creating a shimmering and captivating display. Gazing into the distance, one can enjoy the panoramic views of Datun Mountain and Guanyin Mountain, a scene of incomparable beauty!
Heading south, the bike path seamlessly connects to the left bank bicycle path of the Bailing Bridge. This area features numerous large sports fields, often hosting practices by renowned domestic and international teams. While cycling, visitors can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the expansive sports grounds, creating a fulfilling and lively ambience.
The Circular Bikeway of the Erchong Floodway spans 24 kilometers, passing through the embankment road into the park area. The riverside green spaces, each themed differently, provide ample opportunities for exploration and experiential activities, making it an ideal destination for spending quality time.
