When will Nanshen Floodgate be re-opened after being closed due to a typhoon or heavy rain?
In principle, Nanshen Bridge and the Floodgate will be re-opened immediately after water level has dropped below EL.8.5 m. However, the exact timing to re-open the Floodgate shall depend on the rainfall from the watershed in the upper reaches and the water level at the junction at Takeng River and Keelung River, thus to eliminate chance of re-closing in case of the water level rising a second time.
