Guanshan Riverside Park

Riverside Parks in Taipei

Located between Zhongshan Freeway (National Highway No. 1) and the MacArthur Bridge No. 1 over the Keelung River, the Guanshan Riverside Park occupies an area of about 272,161m2. The park overlooks the Rainbow Riverside Park on the opposite bank. Entering the park from Tayoulu Keelung Floodgate 5, you can count how many wax-apple trees are prosperously growing there. If you come in the right season, you can see wax apples are everywhere on the trees! This is the area with the highest bridge density in the Keelung River system. Within one kilometer, there is the Minquan Bridge, MacArthur Bridge No. 1, MacArthur Bridge No. 2, Rainbow Bridge, Changshou Bridge, and Chengmei Bridge, accounting for half of the 12 bridges in the Keelung River system. After the night lighting beautification project of the TCG, the area has become the best spot to enjoy night views and an excellent spot for photographers to shoot night scenes.

"Old soldiers never die, they just fade away" is his famous quote.

Nearby Attractions

MacArthur Bridge No. 1
Originally called the "MacArthur Thruway Bridge No. 1," it was Taiwan's first freeway built in 1964. It took its present double-decker form after many times of expansion. At the lower level of this double-decker, there are approaches to Nanjing East Road and Huandong Boulevard linking Keelung Road to Section 6 of Nanjing East Road and Huandong Boulevard to make transportation from Taipei City center to Nangang (Nangang Business Park), Xizhi, Wenshan, and Formosa Freeway more convenient.

MacArthur Bridge No. 2
The MacArthur Bridge No. 2 connects Tiding Boulevard in Neihu District with the flyover on Jiankang Road in Songshan District. Compared to the sharp red dragon body of the Rainbow Bridge, MacArthur Bridge No. 2 is a blue mechanical dragon. Both are the favorites of photography lovers.
