Huazhong Riverside Park
Located between the car park of the First Fruits & Vegetables Wholesale Market on Qingnian Road and the Wanban Bridge, the Huazhong Riverside Park occupies an area of about 457,398m2. Looking from the sky, the Xindian River takes a turn here at Huazhong Riverside Park, forming a large floodplain. The curved terrain resembles a crescent moon and looks more like a boomerang. The large-area flat green space is suitable for large events. This is also the best place for watching the sunset and birds. In the park, there are various children's play facilities and seats around the facilities for parents to take a break while keeping an eye on the children's safety, in order to increase parent–child affective interaction. In 2009, the TCG set up the Huazhong Campground in the park to provide tent and vehicle campsites for use by citizens through application. Therefore, it is Taiwan's first large riverside campground. In addition, there are spacious car parks at the entrance of Huazhong Gates 1 and 2 to resolve the area's car park problem. As the park also links to the Machangding Memorial Park and Youth Park nearby, it is a great dating point for lovers. There is also a wide range of gourmet food near the Youth Park.

Huazhong Bridge In the past, people from Zhonghe had to travel to and from Taipei by either taking a ferry or crossing the Zhongzheng Bridge. Later, as the transportation demand increased, temporary bridges were built at the pier. As the population and traffic increased, a cement bridge was built in 1975 – the Huazhong Bridge – which has been used since the completion in the following year.
100-Year-Old Bishop Wood This 105-year-old tree was originally grown in Huide Village (Xiazhuangzi), Shuangyuan District, inhabited by about 1,800 households for generations. After the village was relocated in 1963 in coordination with the Greater Taipei Area Flood Control Project, the place was planned as a riverside park. Youth Park During Japanese colonization, it was a soldier training site and then an airport. As it was located in Taipei south, the airport was called the South Airport corresponding to the Taipei Songshan Airport located in Taipei north. In 1953, the Taipei Country Club and the Ministry of National Defense established the Taipei Golf Club there. It was reconstructed as the Youth Park in 1974 and has become a great place for recreational activities for Taipei citizens.
