Yuanshan Riverside Park

Riverside Parks in Taipei


Located between Xinsheng Flyover and Zhongshan Freeway (National Freeway No. 1), the Yuanshan Riverside Park occupies an area of about 19,370m2. The bridge sits between upstream the Zhongshan Bridge and Dazhi Bridge (right bank). The land is not large, but long and narrow. Both sides of the bikeway are densely vegetated. When cycling across the silently blooming little yellow flowers, while feel is like passing through a green forest. The park is equipped with simple fitness facilities and a roller rink for local residents to take a break and enjoy leisure.

Yuanshan Site
It is the representative site of Yuanshan Culture, about 4,000–2,500 years ago. The cultural layer is distributed on the edge of the Taipei Basin and the fluvial terraces of the Dahan and Xindian rivers. Superposition of rich shell middens is a feature of this historic site. It is one of the earliest found prehistoric sites that led early archeology development to thrive.
