Waishuangxi
Waishuangxi in Taipei has always been the first choice of outdoor gatherings of students. Besides the beauty of forests and the murmuring stream, there are insects chirping and wild birds flying across. For people living in the concrete jungle for a long time, it is a paradise.
National Palace Museum
It is the largest museum of the Republic of China with the world's widest collection of Chinese arts and monuments, particularly monuments from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties nearly covering the 5,000 years of the Chinese civilization. With a collection of nearly 700,000 artworks and monuments, the National Palace Museum (NPM) is the world's cultural treasure, and a must-visit attraction of visitors.
Zhishan Garden
The garden is named according to its location on Zhishan Road in Shilin District, east of the NPM. Built in 1985, the garden is like the garden of the NPM for visitors to enjoy the beauty of Chinese gardens after exploring tons of historic monuments in the museum. In front of the garden is a brick pavement and lions holding drums standing under the garden's hollowed out festoon gate. Entering the gate, the winding stream party scene is in sight. The Orchid Pavilion is a grey octagonal kiosk imitating the Orchid Pavilion in Shaoxing. On the stone next to the pavilion, the "Preface to the Poems Collected from the Orchid Pavilion" by Xi-Zhi Wang was carved, and there are visitors printing it from time to time.
