Download the Velodash app and click on the “Challenge Ride” event page and fill out the registration information.   [link]

Please submit your logs by 24:00 on the last day of the month. Records submitted after the deadline will be disqualified.

Ride the “Cycling Around Taipei” route once in the same month, and submit the record to the Velodash official certification program – Monthly Tasks “Challenge Ride” page.

Those who have completed this task each month and have been approved by the organizer will receive the following rewards:

• Each qualifying record will be entitled to two (2) lucky draw entries for the “Goodies Lucky Draw,” but only two (2) entries will be counted regardless of the number of miles in the same qualifying record, while different qualifying records will be eligible for cumulative lucky draw entries.
• The first 1,000 approved participants in month (arranged in order based on their “ride completion time”) will receive one “Taipei Gorgeous Manhole” limited-edition manhole cover-shaped metal commemorative badge each in sequence.
• For every Challenge Ride completed, you will receive an electronic certificate of completion (applicable to riders who have completed a ride after July 2023)

For each Challenge Ride, an electronic certificate will be issued and sent to the email address after the list of finishers is published the following month.

Step 1: Prepare your own smartphone with GPS and internet access and download the Velodash app.

Step 2: Open the Velodash app> “Official Certified Events” > search for “Challenge Ride” page and register.

Step 3: Prepare your bike, supplies and smartphone, open the Velodash app monthly task – “Challenge Ride” page, ride to the riverfront park or the event route, then click “Start Ride,” then you can set off and record the whole track.

Step 4: Complete the Challenge Ride and submit your ride record within the start/end date of the monthly task.

Step 5: The organizer will review the submissions in the middle of the following month, and a list of approved riders will be posted at the link below.

1.Rides can only be completed in a single session in the same month, and there will be no split day or section challenges. Rides can only be recorded using the Velodash app, and records from other apps will not be taken into account.

2.In the riverside section, you must follow the route marked by the Velodash app. In the urban section (from the Nanhu Riverside Park to the Daonan Riverside Park via the Jingmao Evacuation Gate to the Muzha Bicycle Rental Station) is a recommended route, and participants are free to ride. However, the submitted tracks must clearly indicate that you have “circled a loop” Taipei City.

3.Please ride to the riverside park or the designated route, then press the “Start Riding” button to facilitate the organizer’s judgment of the submitted record’s eligibility.

4.The time you click the “Start Ride” button will be used to determine the eligibility for prizes and drawings. If you start riding on July 31st, you will be eligible for prizes for the month of July. The completion memorabilia will be awarded in the order of the “Ride Completion Time Point” of the qualifying record.

5.There is a limit of one (1) surprise gift per account per month, and options cannot be designated.

6.For each Challenge Ride completed, you will receive an additional Completion Certificate, which will be sent to you by email.

7.Motorcycles and cars are prohibited on the Riverside Park bikeways. Do not use motorcycles or cars to accumulate false data. If there is evidence of data falsification, the organizer has the right not to count that ride record.

8.The qualifications for this event will be based on the information recorded in the organizer’s system.

9.In order to ensure the fairness of the event, it is prohibited to have only one rider with multiple devices recording the track of the task at the same time, no matter if the same account participates in different tasks at the same time, or uses several accounts to participate in the task are prohibited. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify an account if it is found to have submitted a track record that is ineligible or disqualified.

10.Please submit all rides for the month before 24:00 on the last day of the month, late submissions will be disqualified and will not be counted.

11.Prizes and gifts will be sent by registered mail only within the jurisdiction R.O.C. and will not be sent overseas; if returned, it will be considered disqualified and will not be resent.
