Total distance:19.1km,Finishing time about 60-90 mins
Huajiang Wild Duck Nature Park:
Located along the Tamsui River in Wanhua District, Huajiang Wild Duck Nature Park is surrounded by extensive sandbank wetlands, which are a habitat for many migratory birds. Thousands of birds visit this area every year. The park also has excellent facilities, making it convenient for people to observe the ecological environment up close.

Sheliu Wetland:
This wetland is located outside the embankment next to the Sheliu Pumping Station on the side of the Tamsui River. It features an extended wooden boardwalk that allows people to get close to various wetland creatures. Here, you can observe benthic organisms such as Macrophthalmus banzai crabs, Formosan mud crabs, bowed fiddler crab, mudskippers, great blue spotted mudskippers, and more. It’s also a great place to observe the golden leather fern, which was documented in Taipei in the 19th century.

Daotou Park:
Located at the confluence of the Tamsui River and Keelung River, this park offers stunning views. You can gaze into the distant Guanyin Mountain Range and Datun Mountain Range. During sunset, you can enjoy the breathtaking evening glow at the mouth of the Tamsui River. A YouBike 2.0 station was newly established on the dike top of Daotou Park in 2021, making it convenient for citizens to use the dedicated bikeway on the embankment top to leisurely cycle around Shezi Island.

Shezi Island Wetland and Shezi Island Wetland Interpretation Center:
The Shezi Island Wetland Interpretation Center stands on the embankment top along the Keelung River. The 2nd Building of the Interpretation Center was completed and opened to the public in 2021. It is known as the “most beautiful ecological classroom” in the greater Taipei metropolitan area. The building provides a well-designed self-guided ecological interpretation space, and its large floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic views of Shezi Island Wetlands. The next time you pass by on your ride, feel free to stop in. You’re guaranteed to gain a lot of knowledge!
