The group participant should leave the email address of the participant and ask the participant to follow the instructions in the confirmation letter to register and bind his/her account before the registration process is completed. Those who have not bound their accounts will not be able to record and submit their records and tracks, and the organizer does not accept retroactive submissions or multiple people (or parents and children) sharing a Velodash account.

Q: For the “Challenge Ride” task, do I have to follow the route marked on the activity map? I don’t want to ride through Fudekeng...
A: The Velodash app marks the official recommended routes and allows riders to freely ride through urban sections. However, when submitting your trajectory, it should clearly show that you’ve completed a full lap around Taipei City. There are three alternative urban routes available, which you can reference on this Google map.
We have compiled 3 alternative routes for the urban section, please refer to this Google map.[link]
Q: For the “Challenge Ride” task, how do I follow the officially recommended “Fudekeng” route?

Q: Do I have to finish the “Challenge Ride” in one ride?
A: Yes, the “Challenge Ride” can only be completed in a single ride, and cannot be ridden in separate rides.
Q: Do I have to specify the starting point and ending point for the “Challenge Ride” and “Easy Ride”?
A: There are no specific start and finish points for either of the two rides, and you can start the rides anywhere on the route.
With the new rules for “Easy Ride” starting from 112/3/25, the system will automatically calculate the qualifying mileage and deduct the mileage in the urban area or outside the county.
Q:Do I have to ride in the order of the points marked on the event map?
A: The Velodash app map is labeled with recommended spots for rest, refreshment, and restroom information, so there is no need to ride in numerical order.
Q: Can I ride the same route over and over again to accumulate mileage for the “Easy Ride” mission?
A: Yes, for the “Easy Ride” task, you can complete the challenge in multiple rides or segments as long as the trajectory is within the “Taipei City Riverside Park Bikeway” area. Riding within the city or in New Taipei City is not counted.
Q: How do I submit a track record?
A: Method 1: Click/tap on “Start Ride” on the “Challenge Ride” or “Easy Ride” task page and save the track record, then the system will automatically submit the data to the organizer.
Method 2: If you click/tap on “Records” on the homepage, you will need to manually select which activity to submit the record to. Note that each riding record can only be submitted once and cannot be modified.

Q: If I click “Start Ride” on the “Challenge Ride” mission page and feel too tired to join “Easy Ride” instead, can I transfer the recorded track to the “Easy Ride” mission?
A: No. When you save a track record, the system will automatically submit it to the organizer. You can’t transfer track records between different tasks.
Q: How can I confirm that my submission has been approved?
A: You can go to the bottom right corner of app homepage > Personal page > Records, click on the record to confirm. In the bottom right corner, you will see one of the following four statuses:
1. Green background with “Submitted,” indicates that the record has not been submitted to any activity.
2. Gray background with “Submitted,” indicates that the record has been successfully submitted to the activity organizer but has not been reviewed yet.
3. Gray background with “Qualified Okm,” indicating that the activity organizer has approved the record.
4. Gray background with “Disqualified,” indicating that the activity organizer has rejected the record.

Q: Under what circumstances will a record be ruled “Disqualified”?
A: If a submitted record falls into any of the following situations, it will be disqualified:
✦ Records obtained by automobile, motorcycle, other means of transportation, or other improper means.
✦ A record that is submitted after the due date (e.g. an 8/1 record for a 7/5 ride).
✦ Challenge Ride tasks:
1. Significant drifting of track records.
2. The Challenge Ride track is discontinuous and not connected at the beginning and end.
3. The Challenge Ride track is submitted in sections.
4. For the “Challenge Ride” along the riverside sections, not entering and exiting as indicated by the app, either from the Nangang end through the Trade Evacuation Gate or from the Muzha end through the path next to the bike rental station on the left bank of Jingmei River or the path across from Muzha MRT station on the right bank of Jingmei River.
✦ The “Easy Ride” task:
1. Qualified mileage is zero (in accordance with the updated rules as of March 25, 2023).
Q: What happens if I fail a Challenge Ride or Easy Ride with a significant amount of track drift?
A: For the “Challenge Ride,” in order to ensure fairness in the event, if you have other supporting evidence, please send a private message through the Velodash app to the HEO by the end of the month and provide other supporting documents, such as a riding record with a fellow rider (please provide their Velodash account), a record with dates and times, or trajectory records from other apps such as Strava, Relive, or Google Maps, and provide them to us for reevaluation. If you cannot provide relevant evidence or provide it after the deadline, or if the evidence is incomplete, we regret that we cannot assist with reevaluation, and we appreciate your understanding.
For the “Easy Ride,” the qualified mileage is determined based on the data as judged by the Velodash app, and the mileage cannot be manually modified or substituted with mileage recorded by other apps (in accordance with the updated rules as of March 25, 2023).
Q: What should I do if the track drifts drastically?
A: Please update your Velodash app to the latest version. Additionally, due to differences in mobile devices, you can adjust settings according to your phone’s operating system to improve location accuracy:
✦Android:
1. Turn on Wi-Fi assisted positioning system (WPS)
2. Switch your mobile phone to High Accuracy (Settings > Positioning > Mode).
3. Shake your phone in a figure-eight pattern three times to recalibrate.
✦iOS:
1. Confirm that Wi-Fi Assisted Positioning System is turned on in the phone settings.
2. Turn off Low Power Mode: Settings > Battery.
3. Verify that the accurate position is turned on: Settings > Velodash > Position > Precise Positioning
Q: Can one person carry multiple devices and record missions at the same time? Like Pokémon Go?
A: No. In order to ensure the fairness of the event, it is prohibited for one person to ride a bike while recording ride tasks with multiple devices simultaneously, whether it's participating in different missions with the same account or using multiple accounts for the same mission. If found to be in violation, the organizer reserves the right to disqualify a submitted ride record or disqualify an account’s eligibility to participate in an event.
Q: If parents and children ride together, and all have registered Velodash accounts and signed up for the event, with the child’s phone placed on the parent’s body, will it be disqualified?
A: As long as the parents and children ride together, there is no problem, and the event will not be penalized. However, it is prohibited in this campaign for a single person to ride while recording mission trajectories with multiple devices simultaneously, whether it’s participating in different missions with the same account or using several accounts to participate in missions. If deemed to have occurred, the organizer reserves the right to disqualify the submitted trajectory records or cancel the account’s qualification.
Q: For the monthly missions, what is the latest time to submit records for the current month?
A: In order to compile the list of completed rides as soon as possible each month, ride records for the current month must be submitted by 24:00 on the last day of the month. Records submitted after the deadline will be disqualified and not counted. For example, if you have a riding record from July 5 but only submit it in August, it will be disqualified.
Q: What should I do if I have doubts about my record submission?
A: For “Challenge Ride,” if there are doubts about the review results of the riding records in a given month or if there are issues such as tracking trajectory interruptions or drifting, for the sake of fairness, please send a private message through the Velodash app to the HEO by the end of that month and provide supporting evidence such as records with fellow riders (please provide their Velodash account), records with dates and times, or trajectory records from other apps like Strava, Relive, or Google Maps. Provide this evidence to request a reevaluation. If you cannot provide relevant evidence, provide it after the deadline, or provide incomplete data, we regret that we cannot assist with a reevaluation, and we appreciate your understanding.
For the “Easy Ride,” the qualified mileage is determined based on the data as judged by the Velodash app, and the mileage cannot be manually modified or substituted with mileage recorded by other apps (in accordance with the updated rules as of March 25, 2023).
Q: How to contact the event organizer through Velodash app?
A: Open Velodash app > search “Taipei City Government Public Works Department, Hydraulic Engineering Office” in the upper search bar > click “Follow” > click “Message” > you can send a private message to the organizer with relevant information.
Contact the organizer via private message through Velodash app.

Q: When will the list of approved riders be announced?
A: The list will be announced in the middle of the following month.
Q: Where can I fill in the satisfaction survey?
A: The organizer will send an email notification to those who have passed the ride completion audit by the middle of the following month, with a link to a Google Form for the satisfaction survey attached to the email. Each Velodash account that fills out the satisfaction survey once per quarter will be eligible for one additional entry into the “Lucky Draw.” To participate in the “Lucky Draw,” please make sure to correctly enter the Velodash account name used in this event (you can find the Velodash account name by going to the app’s profile page in the bottom right corner and looking at the text next to the profile picture) to ensure eligibility for the draw.
Q: Will I get 2 chances for each completed challenge? If I complete 10 Ride Challenges in a quarter, does it mean that I can accumulate 20 chances for the lucky draw?
A: Yes, we will count the number of “Challenge Rides” and “Easy Rides” that have been audited and approved by the Velodash account within 3 months. The “Challenge Ride” and “Easy Ride” chances are combined, with a maximum of 9 chances, and each Velodash account has a maximum of 9+1 chances per quarter.
(A) “Challenge Ride”: Each qualified record earns 2 chances for the draw. However, within a single qualified record, regardless of the distance covered, it will only count as 2 chances. Different qualified records can accumulate lucky draw chances.
(B) “Easy Ride”: For every 66K miles accumulated over a 3-month period, you will be entitled to 1 Lucky Draw entry. Miles less than 66K will be unconditionally discarded (no chance to accumulate lucky draw entries for the next quarter).
(C) Fill in the satisfaction survey, you will be entitled to 1 additional lucky draw chance (only 1 lucky draw chance per quarter).
Q: How can I claim the prize gift?
A: Gifts and prizes will be sent by registered mail only within the R.O.C. and will not be sent overseas. The name, address and contact information of the recipient provided by the applicant should be filled out correctly, and if a gift is returned due to incorrect or incomplete information provided, it will be regarded as forfeiting the eligibility to receive the prize, and no replacement will be sent.
